Karan Dalal repeats mining charge against Capt Abhimanyu

Congress MLA Karan Dalal today accused Finance Minister Capt Abhimanyu of using influence power to serve his business interests in the mining sector. The MLA demanded the minister’s dismissal.“Capt Abhimanyu being a minister cannot be a contractor. This amounts to conflict of interest,” he told the media in Tosham. Former Speaker Kuldeep Sharma was also present at the press meet.

“The minister’s family-owned company has a contract of a hill in Bhiwani district. It pays Rs 26 crore to the government, and extracts revenue of Rs 2,600 crore in violation of norms,” the Palwal MLA said.He alleged the government delayed mining operations in government hills to benefit the Capt Abimanyu’s company. “The matter is in the knowledge of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. Only he can answer as to what is keeping him silent.”Dalal told The Tribune he had come to Tosham on Capt Abhimanyu’s challenge that he would file a defamation case against him if he levelled allegations of a mining scam. “Today, I repeat what I had said in the Assembly. I will visit Narnaund, his Assembly constituency, in a month to ask the people reason for electing him: whether they elected him for serving their interests or his own,” he added.Chaos at press conference Several Congress workers created chaos when Palwal MLA Karan Dalal accused Finance Minister Capt Abhimanyu for delaying mining in Bhiwani district.
